The Local 57 Health & Welfare Dental Plan is currently managed through Delta Dental of Rhode Island. Please use the links below for information concerning the benefits offered. ATTENTION MEMBERS: As of 4/1/2021, both composite and amalgam fillings used for all teeth (the silver and white) will now be covered at 100%.
Benefit Enhancement:
As of August 3, 2020, Delta Dental of RI will now be offering teledentistry exams for all covered members, subject to the plans limitations. Members will now have the ability to choose to have the following services via teledentistry:
- A periodic oral exam
- A limited oral evaluation
- An evaluation for an oral health issue
- A post-operative evaluation
The goal is increase access to preventive care and other oral health services by giving you the choice to see your dentist in person or via teledentistry.

If you wish to request a new Delta Dental ID Card, please contact the Local 57 Funds Office.
Dental Coverage for Active employees is Delta Dental PPO Plus Premier. Delta Dental Insurance includes the following:
- Annual Maximum: $2,000
- Orthdopedic Lifetime Maximum: $2,000
- Implant Lifetime Maximum: $3,500
- Maximum Lifetime Cap: Unlimited
