IUOE Local 57 Legal Service Plan

 

The IUOE Local 57 Legal Service Plan provides legal consultation and other services for eligible participants and their beneficiaries.  The services covered include: consumer transactions, domestic relations, landlord tenant problems, real estate transactions, wills, bankruptcy, minor traffic violations, paternity, immigration, and insurance claims.  Please refer to the Summary Plan Description for a complete review of how to become eligible and services covered.

How to Become Eligibile for Legal Service Benefits

You are eligible for coverage under the Plan if contributions have been made on your behalf by Participating Employers on either of the two dates in each calendar year:

You are eligible on January 1 if you are credited with either:

  • 500 hours during the six-month period ending December 31, or
  • 1,000 hours during the twelve-month period ending December 31.

You are eligible on July 1 if you are credited with either:

  • 500 hours during the six-month period ending June 30, or
  • 1,000 hours during the twelve-month period ending June 30.
